Advantages over Existing Solutions

From all available technologies D-Vision solution is the most affective and affordable:

  • Software based – all solutions are software based making it much cheaper and flexible than hardware options
  • Standard equipment – required standard camera and standard CPU without a need for a dedicated equipment
  • Simple integration – hardware required already exists on a platform: camera and CPU for running D-Vision software
  • Energy efficient – low power consumption (only CPU), a fact that allows its implementation even in a micro UAVs
  • Most user friendly – that’s what our eyes see (textured models), compared to laser that produces only a cloud of 3D points without knowing what it measured
  • Area of Interest – on-demand zoom in to learn more about specific area of interest within the entire 3D model
  • Multi Agent Synchronization – easy 3D data fusion from multiple sources for generation of a unified 3D picture
  • Simple low cost solution – single (moving) camera is required, compared to two cameras in stereoscopic modeling
  • One technology that serves many applications – one sensor incorporates many solutions that are usually provided by a wide range of different hardware solutions that are more expensive and make the systems more complicated.
